GAME SUMMARY
JV HAWKS STREAK CONTINUES, SOAR TO 8 STRAIGHT WIN   The JV boys of Hayfield Secondary have now opened their season with 8 straight victories. 3 days after their closest victory of the season, the Hawks looked like they would rebound with a vengeance, going into halftime up 35-17. The JV Jaguars of FCHS though, did not quit, and took advantage of lazy play by the Hawks, scoring 39 points in the second half, to close to within 6 points late in the 4th quarter. The Hawks then found the gear they had been missing, led by PG Ralf Bansil (7pts, 8asts, 7stls), who picked the pockets of two ballhandlers down the stretch for easy layups. In the end, the early 18 point lead was too much for the Jags to overcome. Other notable contributors included: SG Corey Hernandez (10pts, 1stl, 1blk) broke into double digits for the first time this year, hitting twice from downtown. Reserve G Jordan McIntyre (9pts, 1reb) revved up his game, hitting multiple baskets for the first time this year. PF Tyler Hodge (13pts) continued to shine, including a team high 8 points in the third quarter. The Hawks return to the hardwood, this coming Monday, when they travel to Arlington Co. to take on the second best team in the district; the Yorktown Patriots.
