(H) vs Wakefield High School

RESULTS
Hayfield Secondary School 76
Wakefield High School 37
GAME SUMMARY
The JV Hawks rebounded convincingly from their double OT loss to W&L, with a 39 point victory over National district opponent, Wakefield HS. Utilizing their smothering man to man defense, and their stifling zone press, the JV Hawks never trailed, jumping out to a 11 point first quarter lead, and extending it to 22 by the end of the 1st half. The second half was played mostly by reserves, who continued to execute the defense effectively, leading to many transitional baskets, which helped many players to score season highs.   The JV Hawks look to avenge an earlier loss, when they visit the other birds of Alexandria, the Edison Eagles on Friday night. This game will be at 7:30. The JV Hawks will then return home for their last two games of the season, vs. the Patriots of Yorktown, and the Jaguars of Falls Church, next Monday and Tuesday nights.
