Football Officials Needed

To ALL: Athletic Directors/Directors of Student Activities and school contacts serviced by the Northern Virginia Football Officials Association, Inc.
As all officiating groups try to look ahead, we have been doing just that the past few months. Our goal is to make sure we have the experienced officials to keep our product where we want it to be. We feel it takes about five years to develop a strong varsity official and with that concept in mind we are seeking assistance in helping us sustain that goal. We advertise in newspapers, submit public service announcements, and attempt to promote our needs whenever possible, but as you can imagine, recruiting and training officials is a very difficult job.
Therefore we are asking all schools we service, if they would be willing to place a link on their sports page, school website, or booster club site to assist us. This link would tie into our on going request for new trainees to develop. This is a win-win situation for everyone as it helps us locate potential officials and helps the schools by allowing the NVFOA to continue to place both dedicated and qualified officials on the field.
